The Presidents Heads of State bowing habits makes the U.S. look week

"Here I am, the only member of Congress who actually worked as an economist. And she's, this lobbyist, this K Street wh*re, is trying to teach me about economics."
I know some feminists on here are going to spank me but you also know that I try to call a spade a spade.

We've definitely debated health care enough but I was wondering....
If the health care package DOESN'T include a public option, would you want the President to veto it?
Yes - Public option is 100% necessary to me.

As though the Obama administration didn't already have enough criticism to contend with some fair and some not so fair, the President backed by the Sec. of Defense and Joint Chiefs after seven months of careful review of the tactical landscape of the globe, security issues and resources to deal with such not to mention current diplomatic relationships has decided to stop plans for two permanent and stationary missile defense bases in Poland and Czech Republic. Despite this sound decision to eliminate plans for a system which does not meet today's security needs appropriately he still can't seem to dodge opportunistic partisan snipers.

This is a topic that we've all discussed on here and I'm actually having a debate about it on another site and wanted to get people's input about it here.
So should we legalize certain drugs and prositution in the US? If you are in agreement, please state why.

(I don't have all of the facts of the matter but in my opinion the police acted stupidly)
He was completely out of line and his comment was stupid, he needs to apologize
His comment was reactionary, not thought out, he should apologize
I agree with his statement, the police did act stupidly
I'm still on the fence with this one.

You pretty much can't turn on the news without hearing about the swine flu over and over. While I think it's an important story, I can't help but wonder how much of it is being trumped up for ratings.
What do you think?

Hey ladies!
So I was thinking yesterday about what direction we want this group to be going in. I've seen a lot of people comment about how they felt that CitizenSugar would post stories just to incite arguments and how they didn't like that.

Since the release of the so-called Torture Memos, there's been a lot of talk about interrogation lately. Former VP Cheney is asking that the rest of the memos be de-classified as well so we can see what some of the information we got out of detainees was - maybe something having to do with that foiled LA terror plot we heard a bit about from way back when? Who knows.

This is topic that was brought up at work today. I would say on one hand yes, not because it's necessarily by our own doing, but by our government and the news media. The News media to me, if you can call it news, is like eating a 2lb burger.
